MIAMI, August 21, 2019 – – Pathman Lewis partner Aaron Tandy addressed social media policies in the workplace at the 9th annual Labor & Employment Conference in Miami. Tandy’s presentation focused in part on the benefits to employers of having a social media policy, employees’ rights to privacy in emails and social media postings and balancing limitations in the workplace.
Tandy’s presentation included the use of social media “evidence” in workplace investigations and employment decisions.
Tandy heads the Pathman Lewis Commercial Litigation Department and is head of the firm’s Employment Law Section. He places a special focus on resolution of business torts, regulatory and administrative hearings, employment and HR litigation, and ecommerce and intellectual property disputes, including the gathering and proper use of electronic and social media evidence.
