Laura Lefebvre Balard is an associate in the real estate department at Pathman Lewis, LLP. Mrs. Lefebvre Balard focuses her practice on all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including complex commercial financing on behalf of borrowers and institutional lenders, acquisitions and dispositions. A native French speaker, Mrs. Lefebvre Balard frequently represents international clients in real estate transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Lefebvre Balard served as in-house counsel for SAS Antygone, a debt collection company in Toulouse, France, where she was in charge of negotiating settlements with debtors. Mrs. Lefebvre Balard received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. During her tenure in law school, she clerked for Legal Services of Greater Miami as part of its Community Economic Development program and, among other things, handled real estate transactions for non-profit corporations.
Mrs. Lefebvre Balard is a native of Toulouse, France. She obtained a Master’s degree in Business Law, Diplôme de Juriste Conseil en Entreprise (D.J.C.E.) from Université Toulouse I Capitole. Prior to attending the Université Toulouse I Capitole, Mrs. Lefebvre Balard graduated from Université Paris I – Pantheon Sorbonne where she obtained her Bachelor in Law equivalent, Licence de droit privé.
