Michael A. Maugans is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Department at Pathman Lewis, LLP. He focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Maugans worked at a prestigious national law firm.
He has represented Fortune 500 financial institutions, insurance companies and real estate developers in federal and state court. Mr. Maugans’ extensive experience includes handling cases involving Title VII retaliation, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract, including taking
such cases to trial.
Mr. Maugans represents large businesses in the areas of contract disputes, consumer law, securities litigation, and mass torts. His clients have included large investment businesses, telecom companies, and cargo carriers.
Mr. Maugans takes on pro bono work representing unaccompanied minors in deportation and asylum proceedings. He earned his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Maugans received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Colorado in political science/international relations.
