Pathman Schermer Tandy, LLP is pleased to announce that attorney David Hawthorne has joined the firm as partner. Hawthorne’s practice is focused entirely on litigation with a special focus on construction, commercial real estate, and landlord/tenant.
Hawthorne also has extensive experience with insurance defense including mass tort and products liability involving pharmaceutical and Class I, II, and III medical devices. Hawthorne has handled
TCPA class actions, and cases involving aviation, probate litigation and eminent domain defense.

Prior to joining Pathman Schermer Tandy, LLP, Hawthorne worked at Am Law 100 law firms for more than 20 years, and he has been practicing for nearly 30 years. He provides litigation representation to both plaintiffs and defendants, and has first chair trial and arbitration experience representing Fortune 500 companies, as well as sole proprietorships and individuals. He has also taught numerous seminars on landlord/tenant and construction litigation.
Hawthorne’s approach to litigation is a balance between aggressive and pragmatic, always focusing on obtaining the best result in an efficient manner. And no matter who the client, big or small, Hawthorne responds timely and makes it a priority to keep the client appropriately updated and involved.
Hawthorne received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University.
